Fees and Billing
Monaro Medical Practice is now a Bulk Billing Practice for standard GP services.

This means that most standard consultations are bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card, with no out-of-pocket cost.
Please ensure you bring your Medicare card to each appointment.

Patients Without Medicare
​
Patients who do not hold a valid Medicare card, including overseas visitors and temporary residents are privately billed for all consultations.
Private Fees:

Standard Consultation: $86.00
-
Long / Complex Consultation: $135.00
-
Prolonged Consultation: $165.00
Payment is required on the day.
A receipt will be provided for claiming with private health insurance.

Services That May Attract a Private Fee

Some services require additional clinical resources, consumables, specialised treatment or extended appointment time.
These services may incur a private fee, however Medicare rebates may apply.

Pregnancy / Antenatal care

Visiting specialist consultations (e.g. Cardiology)

Iron infusions

Sleep medicine consultations & testing

Surgical and skin procedures

Travel vaccinations (including the cost of vaccines)

Wound care & complex dressings

Forms, reports and letters not covered under Medicare
You will be advised of any fees prior to treatment and rebates (if applicable) can be processed on-site.

Independent Practitioner Billing Notice

All Doctors and specialists consulting through Monaro Medical Practice operate as independent practitioners.
Billing and clinical decisions are made at the individual Doctor’s discretion, based on your clinical needs.
